FDB Møbler's J46 chair designed by Poul M. Volther in 1956 is a Danish design classic, and one of the most important contributions to Danish furniture history.  A contrast to heavier dining chairs of its age, the chair introduced a distinctly different design language, with emphasis on simplicity and functionality, combined with great seating comfort. At the same time, it was an example of how fine joinery work and mass production could be united, and high quality could therefore be democratised and accessible to the ordinary consumer.   

Made of solid beech, and available in many colours the J46 chair combines a V-shaped spindled backrest with a wide, comfortable seat. A lightweight chair suitable for many dining spaces and surrounds.
